The higher page ranked sites will help give your site more authority. The higher authority your site obtains, the higher ranking your site will be. This will move you closer to the ever elusive front page on the search engine.

Make sure to try new things.

An age old adage in SEO goes something like this: A back link is a back link is a back link. The meaning of this is there is no such thing as a bad back link. So don’t be scared to submit your link somewhere. You can always remove it later. Higher page rank sites, lower on the alexia scale are great places to try.
